Mary Whaling Owner & Head Trainer
I’ve always had a passion for human movement ~ did you know I started out as a Physiotherapist?
I moved to Adelaide in 2009 after spending 12 years prior in the UK. I am a born & bred South African which means I’m not afraid of hard work. I graduated from Northumbria University in the UK with a Physiotherapy Degree and then headed to Adelaide.
With several years of Physiotherapy experience under my belt I decided to pursue a career in personal training & movement rehabilitation, setting up my own business as a personal trainer getting people out of pain and moving better! I’m very passionate about my work and always try to go out of my way for my clients.
Some of my interests & passions include surfing; camping & being outdoors; making time for family & friends & spending time with my two gorgeous little Jack Russells, Gracie & Frankie!

I train your body how it is designed to move ~ using functional movements
At moov personal training I challenge conventional training by taking you back to basic, fundamental movement to help you develop well beyond what you thought was possible. I support you along the way to make sure you build a deeper understanding of your body and how to get the best from it.
My initial movement assessment will enable me to see how you're moving and iron out any issues that come up as a result of previous or current injury or poor movement habits.
“Are you moving poorly because you are in pain?
Or are you in pain because you are moving poorly?”

Personalised strength programs so you can feel stronger and move better through life
I treat the body as a WHOLE and not the individual parts, you can see this in my training methods. Your body is the best piece of equipment you'll ever own, I believe training should be dynamic; functional; stimulating; efficient; progressive and leave you feeling invigorated; connected; strong and inspired!
I offer personalised programs for all levels of fitness and age, whether it’s focused on injury prevention; rehabilitation; core function; mobility; muscle gain; weight loss or a combination of the above.
